l  從宏觀層面（全球大尺度）揭示水生植物（以澤瀉亞綱為主）進化歷史及生物地理歷史，探討古氣候等非生物因子對其分布格局影響；從微觀尺度（基因組學(xué)），解析水生植物特殊性狀演化及分子機制；

l  在對水生植物資源（以長江流域為主）全面調(diào)查的基礎(chǔ)上，結(jié)合細(xì)胞學(xué)、生理生化方法等，評估水生植物代表類群生態(tài)修復(fù)價值；利用多組學(xué)手段，揭示其分子機制（如強重金屬/新型污染物吸附能力等）；

l  水生植物經(jīng)典分類研究（側(cè)重水鱉科^*、澤瀉科^*、雨久花科^*、天南星科等）
